Oliver my friend, the taxi system states the qualifying game has to be NDIV:

1.) Go AGAINST any NFL team that scored 30 or more points in each of their last
two games while allowing 10 or less in each of those same two games...if they
are now playing a team outside of their division.

The rationale is
simple. In the NFL, after a team "peaked" offensively and defensively back to
back, they tend to let down when faced with an opponent of lesser significance

p:points>=30 and pp:points>=30 and po:points<=10 and ppo:points<=10 and NDIV and playoffs=0
2-19 ats

But by removing the NDIV from that query you come up with a very stout 9-28 ats since '89, 3-15 ats since '02 qnd 1-11 ats since 2009. Pretty healthy numbers worth consideration I'd say

I don't trust the Patriots when they fit this system. So I went back through every season of the B&B era expecting to find several "fits".

Surprisingly the Patriots only fit the Taxi System once vs Green Bay in 2010 where they won 31-27 failing to cover a -14 spread. And in 2009 vs Miami after playing in London for the second leg of the qualifying games, and then playing after their bye. They beat Div rival (technically a disqualifier) 27-17, again failing to cover the -10' spread.

But I still don't trust going against the Pats in this spot. Good luck if you do.

Just an observation that might or might not belong in this thread.

Brady's starting left tackle, Patriot 2018 first round draft choice, Isaih Wynn, who missed all of last season with a torn achilles, and was playing great his first two games active with the Pats, has been put on injured reserve today. Starting left tackle, Marcus Cannon missed last week's Dolphins game with a shoulder injury. And All Pro center, David Andrews went on injured reserve before the start of the season as late in the pre-season he surprisingly was found with blood clots in his lungs.

THe Pats have been bringing offensive linemen in at a frenzied pace, cutting most, since Andrews went down.

WE've got a wizard of an O line coach in Dante Scarnecchia. But this could turn into a BIG problem.

Watch closely.

Which all means what Jim, Brady has to get rid of the ball .7 seconds faster, lol. Granted NE has some o-line concerns coming into this game but the Jets have a bevy of their own problems. My concern here does NE perhaps take it slow and easy on this game looking ahead to their only competition in the DIV with Buffalo (advance line -6.5) on deck in week 4. I think maybe a guy should be looking at an early play on this game maybe 1sth although in my mind I see them covering the 23
