Queen - We Are The Champions

PLAY for the two champions

Skip AND John are the big dogs and I'm the BOOB

Congrats to the both of you
Here's a snapshot of the boys

As I stated below even though the rules state you must win out right I decided to give those two guys a 100 bucks each for the good showing so they can get a few beers and a pizza to show for their efforts

Okay guys it's over and even though I suck at this contest I thoroughly enjoy it and would like to thank everyone who played it out till the end.

First off we got co winners for the 1st time ever with Gambrinus and North Ender, great work guys !

Secondly the leaderboard was exciting right till the last night with 3 guys finishing with 15 dips so hats off to Denny, Jim and Perry for a great run

Former winner Wiseeagle with 14 to round out an elite group of prognosticators.

shoeless as usual gets off to a good start but once again got stuck in the heavy mud and couldn't break loose till the final day and finishes with 10 and tied with da coach who I now owe 50 bucks

merle the pearl looked for a bit like he might have something to say here but he hits the mud at an unfortunate time and bows out with 12

Tied with Dave was texasjim (12) who had the best comeback of all as he used to be entrenched in last place with me, tman and bigtiger. Really nice back end Jim

tman finishes with 8

Me with 7, yikes

In the mini competitions we got:

Skip who beats Jim for the Boston Crown

texasjim takes out bigtiger for bragging rights in the great state of Texas in the comeback battle, good stuff guys

Out on the west side of the country Utah Denny ties his nemesis cali boy as they both finish with 15

Me I kicked tmans ass edging him out for last place

And that's it guys I'm sliding over to the CFL forum as week 1 started last night, see you guys over there in the fall

GOODBYE

Thomas,

I think I heard somewhere that there's a little known codicil in the Double Dip by laws that state the tie-breaker is most days as the Big Dog during the 44-day extravaganza.

Just kidding, I'm happy to share the title with North Ender even if he is a Red Sox fan. After all, he did just invite us to enjoy a fine Italian dinner with him in the North End. That's an offer too good to pass up.

The diperoo was a lot of fun. It kept me much more interested in the actual games beyond my betting interests. Thanks for all your efforts Thomas! I look forward to next year's dips!

Yikes twice in a row I tried to cheat my friend Gambrinus, sorry buddy. Nice going except the bad news as stated in the rules we don't pay for ties you must win outright. But if you guys were getting together for pizza I'd pay the bill gladly

Ganbrinus I was checking the bylaws and I'm not seeing that supplemental instance you speak of above, I'll speak to some people on the rules committee and get their thoughts on this though

Congrats to my buddy Skip, and to Gambrinus. Hell of a fight to the finish.

Tom, Love this contest. We have a lot of fun. Thanks to Denny for bringing his Yugo to the party. You're a good sport Denny even if you are a Mormon like Mitt Romney.

Tom, you're the best. We need more people like you in the world.

Thank you, everyone! I had fun with a great bunch of guys, even Yankee fans.
Tom, Thank you very much but I decline the money as long as you take Charlotte out for a pizza.

Well Tom if you're going to be mediocre... Do it right! ( picking DDs that is! )

I have to admit that it's fun even if I suck at it. You do run a great forum and I look forward
to the start of next year's NBA.

Congrats to Gambrinus and North Ender!

thanks for your work on contest Thomas.  I don't know what happens but I start off well and then fall apart.  maybe less games in later rounds is tough for me to pick 2 winners.  I think next year I will change my strategy.
