Has yet to tell the Bulls he's accepting the last year of his contract and taking his 23/24 mill??

Could Wado be eyeballin SA??, The Clip Joint??, getting the band back together in Cleveland??

He won't get close to what Chicago can throw him if he bails on his final year. But he might want something else. I think it's 95% he stays and cashes checks, but he's leaving the door open. And the draft will be here.

LOL

Here's your standard 4 milktoast sports "reporters" really not giving any opinion or having ANY edge on a topic. Just put a suit on, sit with other talking heads, say nothing, offer NO new information, have no strong opinion about anything, don't irritate any players/gm's/or owners, ....and cash your check.

Rinse and repeat

RIP Jimmy Piersall

Word is Boston really eyeballin Butler right now. Cost is three first round picks.
This may be what Wade is waiting to hear about. If Butler stays, he stays. If Butler goes, he won't stay.

the plot thickens....

local station had national guy on

He's thinking there's a 40% chance Butler gets moved. Not just Boston, but 6 teams trying right now to get his contract and the two years left on it. Sayin Boston is all about Hayward, then Butler if he's still available. Word is Bulls are fine with gutting the team yet keeping Rondo. Wade will be bought out somehow if Butler wears a new jersey.

Also heard overnight the Bulls play in one of the bigger stadiums in the league. Also throw in the fact they play in Chicago. Takes a little bit of the glow off setting league attendance highs every year for 7 or 8 years.

I've heard/read there are as many as 6 teams wanting Butler. The main four are (of course) the Bulls, Minny, Clev, and Boston. I don't see Minny in the picture. The Bulls mgmt including the owner seriously hate Tibbs. Clev is looking for anyone to take Love off their hands. Butler might fit well there if that miracle were to occur. Boston has Butler as a second priority (Hayward 1st) and Danny has shown recently he won't just give up all the bullets he has to acquire veteran talent. And there's the Bulls. Butler will not work into the system Pax and Freddie have. But, the Bulls wanna sell tickets and Butler feels he owes this organization. I think the best move would be for Clev (who just shit canned their championship winning GM) to somehow move the pieces and bring Butler in to appease King hairline. Butler would bring a real toughness and defensive grit. And he likes sitting on the ball. And isn't a black hole.

With all that said Paxson can't get anything right. He could never really be a real general mgr and improve his team by making good moves and good draft picks. He will go the easy route and continue to sell tickets with a mediocre team to a lemming fan base.

Local word...

Wade is staying. Butler or not.

The Cleveland move for Butler is getting more and more play. Minny does have the bullets, but again, It would blow my mind if they gave that young talented team the veteran piece that the hated Tibbs needs. Tibbs MADE Butler what he is. They would work together VERY VERY well.

Boston has dropped a bit to the way side.

Sources: Chicago’s price for Jimmy Butler remains elevated, but Minnesota has assets and interest. Sides made preliminary contact this week.

Jimmy Butler has been in touch with Kyrie and LeBron the past week and will reportedly push for a trade to the Cavs. (Chicago Sun Times)

While everyone's wondering whether he's getting traded, Jimmy Butler is in London refueling and focusing on winning.

I keep hearing/reading for a couple months now how Le hairline is gonna drop Cleveland AGAIN and go to the Lakers once his contract allows. At that point, the Lakers might have George and Ball already.

This might even be a greater impetus on Cleveland's drive to acquire Butler.

Wade is an anchor on that franchise. When he went out in the regular season the Bulls turned their year around. Rondo seemed to reemerge.

Wade has no basketball soul left.

One more aspect to remember with the whole Butler situation....

I think if the Bulls do not move him, when his contract is up, he may be in line for a super max deal like George was. Don't know if the Bulls are gonna wanna be on the hook for that kind of number with the miles Butler will have by then.

Right now, I'd say there's a 30% chance Butler gets moved.

Sorry Cleveland fans. The Cavs are no longer pursuing Jimmy Butler or Paul George as Kevin Love is not creating enough interest. (ESPN)
