the Preakness is the second stop on the road to the triple crown  many derby winners won the Preakness too but failed in the Belmont to get the triple crown.  American Pharoh was one special horse that made it and won the breeder's cup classic for the grand slam.  I don't see any horses like him in this year's Preakness but American dream and classic empire could duel it out over a mediocre field.
I like the 4-5-2-10 perfecta box

Don't know, Dimez. Reluctant to suggest who to take out. But I'll tell you the six horses I like (PP order) with a little "why" note.

#1 Multiplier
4 races. 4 improving Beyers. Only one of three horses to have run a 1:48 (or lower) mile and an eighth (Always Dreaming; Hence)

#3 Hence
Ran a 1:48 in the Sunland Derby while striding away from the field down the stretch. Threw a complete clunker in the Derby. Maybe he didn't like the slop. Another chance here.

#4 Always Dreaming
Completely legitimate horse to beat. Will be using him for sure but hoping that one of my longshots can beat him for the price. Two would be a very big payout. Three huge. I'm always dreaming.

#5 Classic Empire
He's been spotty since winning the BC Juvy in the fall as a 2 yo. Are the excuses enough or have other 3 year olds passed him?

#9 Lookin' at Lee
The buzz is that he had such an advantaged trip in the Derby that he can't repeat. I'm not buying. This is a solid horse who CAN repeat.

#10 Conquest Mo Money
This horse ran one of the "gamest" races I've ever seen in the Arkansas Derby when getting beat by Classic Empire in the Final two or three jumps. The race caller had him passed two or three times. He kept surging back. 1st or 2nd in all five starts. Must use.

I put $330.00 into tris on the Derby trying to knock down the Big One. The payoffs won't be near as bog today unless Always Dreaming runs off the board. Nor expecting that to happen. So I'll figure my bets depending on how I'm holding come race time. Hence and Conquest Mo Money will figure prominently.

Beautiful day here north of Boston. Heading over to the Turf Club at Suffolk Downs in a few. Have fun and good luck.

4,5/2,9,10/4,5/2,9,10 and 4,5/4,5/2,9,10/2,9,10
EXacta to cover myself: 2,3...2,4 box...2,5 box..2,6...2,9...2,10 box

I went pretty light, just a $80 investment and just doing exotics... Heres How I went...

$1 tri's:

4,5 w/ 4,5 w/ 2,3,8,10

5 w/ 2,3,4,8,10 w/ 2,3,4,8,10

4 w/ 2,3,5,8,10 w/ 2,3,5,8,10

$2 exacta:

4,9 w/ 3,4,9

Then a shot at a decent payday just in case the favorites bomb out...

$2 "cover my ass" exacta box with : 2,3,9,10

Good luck everybody!!

Had the 10 in the 10th, had the 5 in the 11th, put the 4 and 5 in for the 13th and then tried to get cute in the 12th and beat the favorites by taking the 8 and the damn favorites came 1-2!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
