Going with the longest shot in the race.

#6 Irap

A maiden running with winners. Is the only horse to have previously run today's distance, a mile and an eighth, and a fast 1:48 it was. Taking the blinkers back off. Should be the only speed in the race. If rhe other jockeys dismiss him on the front end he could steal this race. Jockey improves to Leparoux. Good Cali trainer, Doug O'Neil. They think they can win or they would never have shipped him to Kentucky.

Don't bet the rent but he's a good 30/40-1 horse. Worth a flyer and using him in exotics.

What are your thoughts on the Wood Memorial or the Santa Anita Derby? Anyone?

Mo Town

Two important "onlys". Only horse to run at today's distance of 1 1/8. And only horse to have won at today's track, Aqueduct. There is a lot of speed in this race. Mo Town has come off the pace in all of his four starts. He ran a clunker when returning to the races in late February after his winter break. Expecting much improvement here as he runs down the speed horses in the lane.

Kimbear
ML 12-1

Taking a shot with this horse who ran his best Beyer in his last. He has only had two dirt races. The other four were failed attempts on the turf. But he has shined in his only two on dirt. In his first dirt he was running down today's favorite, Iliad at 6f but came up short by 3' lengths in second. Today's distance is 1 1/8 miles. Plenty of time to catch him today.

Good luck.

KABOOM !

Way to go Jim , great great handicapping and if this doesn't prove it only take one I don't know what does !
$64 to win  328 Exacta and if you wheeled everyone the race prior in a double picked up 973
I actually wish I would of bet the rent.  Didn't get a play at all as I had to work and the sick part is my dad went to OTB and had the place horse.
I would of mentioned this horse to him and perhaps he would of had the exacta.
Very gutty call Jim as I believe they were shipping him in from Sunland to boot ? Also noticed he had ran the most frequent race which was a couple weeks ago so he was the fittest.

That my friend was a great spot to locate a bomb and have the nuts to post it.
We only get 5-6 of these a year and you got the first one. Well done ,and I think I've looked at that chart 5 or 6 times already

Thanks Rosie.

Helps to make up for all the losers I've posted over the past few weeks. I also post on another board. A couple of guys played him. That makes me feel good even though you know it's still Lent and I'm still on the sideline. Still get my Saturday telly and do some handicapping but no bet. I know you're busy this time of year but hope you manage to get Derby day off. You liking anyone yet or following anyone who you think could fit?
