Rest in peace Butter! You will sadly missed by the TS family!

Butter is in a better place now. I'm sure he's already renamed half the angels up there with ridiculous nicknames.

You'll always be here with us Butter, we'll never forget you!

Will always love you man!  Truly one of the best.  I've been checki' ole talksport all summer even though i'm only a football guy hoping to hear things turned around.  At least Bill will only have winners from here on out.

Please join me in tippin' one to ssw at happy hour!

PS - Mickey, nice touch on Legacy.  I didn't know about it.  Nice touch.

Well Shit!!
I dropped in here today to see if I could get a chuckle outta some of you knotheads and find this news.
Knew it was coming but still feel like I got punched in the gut.

I remember one of the last phone calls from Bill on a day when he was feeling pretty good.
He calls and says:  Whacha doing dumbass?  I say painting my nails.  He says the board is too quiet we need to start some shit.  He says I'm going on line in about 10 minutes and pick a fight.  You chime in.

Lordy, Lordy...I am going to miss that.

Never knew anybody that loved life anymore than Bill.  A truly class act.  I am deeply saddened.

RIP Brother.

Will never be the same around here again.  We all knew this was coming, but seeing it in print, just punches you in the gut.  I know ssw is not suffering anymore, and will still be looking down on us.  LBTD, keep up the humor, we need it more than ever now.

Good luck!

My first look at TS in 9 months and I just read thru every post in this thread.  What a roller coaster of emotions: first excitement to see Bill was writing again and then the news of his sad....I wish I had a chance to say goodbye.  What a great guy.  You guys have said it all--thanks for remembering.

Wow, just now seeing that SSW went home. What a courageous warrior this guy was! In his last post he said they had just removed a 4th type of cancer from his body and he's joking about hitting a 4 team parlay with it at 10-1. Kept his humor and concern and love for others right up to the end. What a fine man. Just hope when it's my turn to go that I'll have half the class, courage and dignity that Bill modeled to all of us here at Talksport. May God keep you and bless you Mr Wilson.

That is a good dude we lost.  His presence always reminded me that we could be nice to each other even--maybe especially--behind the anonymity of the internet.
