You're a brave guy, Buttermilk, and I really admire you for the way you deal with this. You are still playing your best card, your humour. It's something full of life, full of energy and the best way to fight. Even if things look different behind the curtain at times, you are still standing tall and we are proud of you.

Keep in mind, you are never alone. Wherever you are, whatever you do, we'll be with you.

Don't ever lose hope, my friend!

This post says it all and I concur.

Way back when, you are one of the reasons I started and kept posting here. I have never known anyone like you, even though it's only thru this computer screen, you are SO family.  Take care of yourself as best you can, we need you around.

Best,
cruisin

Butermlksky,

I haven't been around much for a long while but just once in a while I check in and was saddened by this post. I have been here since the 90's and always enjoyed the comaradarie and caring of the group. I remember in the late 90's a thread of Christmas wishings that actually brought tears to my eyes and had a profound affect on my holidays. Everyone was so sincere in their posts and wishes and I have never seen that on any website at that time and since then.

I'm not trying to get mushy here but I know everyone is in your corner fighting with you and I for one can tell you sincerely that when I hit that kneeler tomorrow morning at Sunday mass you will be the first I will offer my prayers for. As we get older, I'm 58, we need to prepare ourselves for some of the unkinder things life has to dish out since our bodies get worn and tattered. They just don't hold up but our souls do.

I had a heart attack at 36 years of age and then had another event at 48. My RCA (Right Coronary Artery-the biggest and most important) is 100% blocked but I'm lucky my body has bypassed the blockage by making collateral circulatory arteries. Homemade bypass. My father and a number of his siblings succumbed to some form of cancer so that is nipping at my ass most likely too.

I guess my point is that we have to play the cards as they are dealt to us and as the prayer goes, if I may throw some religion this way without offending:

God grant me Serenity to accept things I cannot change....

the Courage to change the things I can....

and the Wisdom to know the difference.

God bless you and I hope you will take some comfort knowing that I care and a lot of people who you will never know personally care. We will pray for you now at your time of need and wish you peace through this ordeal. This is your test of courage to accept those things that will challenge you and your family's fortitude, but you know and they know that you all will get through this because of your love and faith in each other. God bless you.

Butter,
I am far from a regular here but reading this has caused me to write.  You are truly in my prayers as well as your family.  You are a true hero in the sense of the word.  Those we watch on Sundays are nothing more than overpaid entertainers that take our minds away from reality for a fews hours.  You sir are a testament to keeping a strong will and positive attitude.  I can't begin to tell you how much I admire your attitude.  Nobody needs to tell you to remain strong as you have far exceeded that parameter!
God's Speed Sir...

butermlksky,
I and my wife been drinking this juice since June of last year.
There were a lot of good reports about this juice drink.

Designed for easy absorption in the body, just 2–4 ounces of MonaVie per day provides you with the phytonutrients and antioxidants found in many of the world's most nutritious fruits—including açai.

Açai contains concentrated levels of anthocyanins—a powerful family of antioxidants that assists in neutralizing the harmful effects free radicals can have on your body. Through an exclusive freeze-drying process, MonaVie is able to capture the vital nutrients found in this delicate fruit. MonaVie's freeze-dried açai powder boasts an ORAC score (a measure of antioxidant power) higher than any other fruit or vegetable tested to date, on a gram-for-gram basis.

Hey man, don't know you well enough to call you "Buttmunch" unless you called me "Numb Nut" or something first. I heard of shortstop or ssw just before I joined. Didn't realize it was you unless I'm mistaken. Anyway, just wanted to wish you the absolute best and hope that things go well for you. You have a great attitude and that is everything in this world. You are a great role model....except for some of the things Mickeytangelo told me about you.

Godspeed!

thanks wild will and number
I got a few bumps in the road the next few weeks but I think the medication is helping alot
I didn't handle it very well for bout 2-3 weeks after they told me--I was really down
shut out everybody and everything
I raised the shades and opened the door
I've had so many friends coming by everyday to keep me company and that has really been uplifting
It takes it off my mind when they're around--this place is better medicine than anything
If I'm here by myself it never leaves my mind--I know it's not good but I can't do nothing bout it
Mike lets me pick on everybody and smartchicken has been sending pm's and we've talked on the phone--he's my hero
We don't understand each other when we talk but it's cool to talk to him
He ain't got no hillbillie in him--talks real funny--I luv him
I luv all these guys
hey number, did you get in that big poker game this year
-
thanks guys
luv all of you

You are one of a kind, Butter, and a true hero for sure.

Glad that you have many friends around you there, that's more important than anything else.

Take care, my friend!
