--------
I'm taking this time to let you know about the bad news I got today
I guess they're pulling the plug--no more chemos, no more nutt'ns
They let me know I have chronic lymphccytic leukemia--hell, I can't even say it, much less spell it
what it boils down too is the white blood cells are way out of whack
my reading was 36.9--normal is 4.1 to 10.9
So, forget about any more chemos for the lungs, same for the skin cancer
They say any more chemo might be the end, real real quick due to the nature of this cancer in the blood and bone marrow
I've got a ct scan on dec 1st and follow up on the 8th
They're not giving any time frame right now but say it could be months, a year, maybe 2
I have to admit it pulled me down for a couple hours, especially with my two girls here
I feel okeedokee right now and doing my best to put on a good show for my kids
You can guess what they're doing---they finally cried themselves to sleep and I'm taking advantage of it by saying howdy to ya'll youngins
They're going to be here all week, along w/ my 2 bros and a boat loads of kin-folk coming in this weekend
You guys have been like family for a long time and I hope to muster up enough energy to stick around for a few more months
Well, I better get off for now---aunt and 2 brothers just came back w/ some good chinese vittles and I'm going to grab a bite
I hope ya'll understand all this--I ain't check'n no spelling
and I hope to check in next weekend

Just said a little prayer for ya Black Ear.

Went somethin' like this:

Well Lord I know the guy can't spell,

and he never wrote no books 'cause he doesn't know what a sentence is,

and calls everybody weird, insulting names,

and he probably gambled his girl's school lunch money a few times,

and he used to go fishin' 'till he got so drunk he sunk his boat,

and he probably does weird things in his bed with that sexy Phyllis Diller poster on the ceiling over his bed,

But you'll forgive him for all his transgessions Lord when ya invite him up to your buttermilksky and he somehow cracks you up.

Just give him a few more years to crack us up first. We need them Wagerline fades Lord. Ya know we do.

Damn, i hate hearing news like this. My dad passed away from colon cancer when i was about 15 years old. I guess it's better for the kin when you know it's coming. It was easier for me, they sent him home and gave him about 2 weeks. They were pretty accurate with it too.

Anyways, take care and don't give up! And if you see that dude in the black hooded gown holding that long stick with the blade at the end, Jus kick em in the nuts and tell em you ain't ready yet!

I expect to see your posts throughout the season...

You're a brave guy, Buttermilk, and I really admire you for the way you deal with this. You are still playing your best card, your humour. It's something full of life, full of energy and the best way to fight. Even if things look different behind the curtain at times, you are still standing tall and we are proud of you.

Keep in mind, you are never alone. Wherever you are, whatever you do, we'll be with you.

Don't ever lose hope, my friend!

Butter,

You are one of the all-time great posters on this site, or any site, for that matter.  The way you are dealing with this is an inspiration to us all.

You'll be in our prayers, and let us know if you need anything.

Mike
