I've been experimenting with a simple formula called 'turnover' to track the effect of turnovers on the week-to-week line. It's simply 50% interceptions and 50% fumbles lost. The turnover angle theory is based on the premise that turnovers distort the line more than is warranted by their substantially fortuitous nature. I've been attempting to find a correlation for this theory using the turnover formula. No success so far though I've got lots of statistically significant results. I can't seem to find the pattern in the results.
I'd appreciate any help anyone who wants to play with the formula can give me. Post here and I'll follow up.
