People PAY for this kind of service? Heck, there are a number of 'Cappers on this Board who are spanking these numbers.

What's the psychology behind someone who pays for picks? Are they sick? Are they looking for a magic genie? Do they really think these guys have better insight into these games than Frankie Knuckles or Joe Public? Why not PayPal JUSTWINBABY or Arroyo1 for a random set of picks?

Do betters just want to be able to say, "I can't understand it... I PAID for those horrible picks!?!" As if putting out money can predict the future.

Depending upon your intial bankroll, you'd have to have 60% ATS wins just to break even. That's very hard to do.

I guess the Touts and Services prey on the uninformed. Oh yeah, send ME money and I'll guarantee those picks... I guarantee you'll never see the money you gave me back again.

Be grateful for 'em and make some contrarian money RMS.

Texas Sportswire has been around a long time.
I've never subscribed to any service but that particular outfit isn't so bad. They actually seem pretty good, pretty legit.

I have always viewed pay services for sports kind of like a psychic. If they were so good they would just make there money gambling on sports instead of pickpocketing the naive or unfortunately more often than not the desperate.

Saw in the Hilton Contest. He went 0-5 last week bringing his six week play to 9.5/30 (32%). That's a 68% fade. probably worth checking him out Saturday. They post their picks after 11:00pm.

the only service I have ever used is Dr. Bob because his write-ups are so good... uses trends/situations plus yardage stats..always read his free analysis on his web dont have to agree with it but worth the read.

Good Info,

I never pay for picks but usually will pay close attention to
analysis and opinions. Phil Steele with Northcoast is one of my favorites(free only).

Favorite free picks that I tend to lean towards small parlay wagers.
Rocketman, fixerwins and Steve Merril with

Good Luck !

Maybe next year I'll try some of that Tout stuff. Picking winners alone doesn't seem to impress most people. Remember, I have no human emotion. If you met me in person you'd think I was mental... rarely smile, rarely frown. Pathetic.

So I'm thinking as part of my 2005 "ROLLOUT CAMPAIGN" I'll pick some fancy new handle like "RMS BABY!!!" and start posting my picks starting on Wednesday, then some more on Friday, and some "special" last minute super-duper picks on Saturday. Then start randomly assigning "5STAR!" by some, "TRENDSETTER!" on others... you know, marketing stuff. Start using flowery language like Austin Powers, "Spread, baby, Yeah!".

Then I can sell random picks for $$$, calling them my specials. I'll set up a 1-800 like number and make people stay on the line while I read the USA TODAY game matchup analysis (which is actually LV Insider I think) so I'll sound more footbally. Throw in Adjectives like "Crush" and "Punish" and the occasional "Manhandle."

When I go 4-2 on a weekend I'll tout myself as "4-0" and claim the losing 2 were actually "sideline picks" (or some other demunitive phrase) so I can keep people calling.
I can start meaningless fights on multiple sports forums... and have about 5 different user names, each can write in and say how much money RMS BABY!!! made them this weekend. "I parlayed the picks and made $20,000!!! and beautiful women I just met had great fun with me!!!"

Hosting my own Tout TV won't be far behind. Of course I'll have to hire a professional actor to play me. I'm weird looking... Get a local retired TalkRadio DJ, with a great voice, to speak the DoubleTalk of Touts so that after a while, even I might believe the nonsense.

Yeah. Sounds like a plan.

With most of the services picks posted right here on this site, there does not seem to be a need for anyone to pay for these services anymore (if one were apt to do such a thing). You could have easily taken Blazers GOY--Tex. Tech, Gold Sheets: Super 7 on Missouri, Doc's Big Ten GOY on Penn St. and TSW's Underdog GOY on NC State and lost em all.

As usual, when a majority of the services are on one side, it's a loser.....That probably is the best system of all.......Look how many services were on Tex Tech, Penn State, Missouri, and N.C. State., all of which lost.

Go ahead! Make my day!
